As Muslims commence the holy month of Ramadan, Senator Iyabo Obasanjo has called for love, unity and compassion among residents.
Obasanjo, in a statement issued in Abeokuta, noted that the season, which is a sacred period, calls for sober reflection and tolerance and devotion to the Almighty God.
The former Senator and a leader of the APC in Ogun State, admonished organisations, groups and wealthy individuals to spread love to the people by sharing food items to the less privilege in the society.
Her words: ” The Holy month Ramadan is a sacred period of fasting, that calls for reflection, and devotion to draw closer to Almighty God. We must show love and compassion among ourselves”.
She also admonished the Muslims to remember the leaders, Ogun State and Nigeria in their prayers.
