The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in collaboration with the representatives of the chosen universities of the underage candidates who sat the 2025 UTME, has adjusted the final date for their scheduled assessment.
It is worthy of note that NECO has released its SSCE 2025 results on Wednesday, 17th September,2025, the Board has noted with concern that at the close of the submission date for the screening scores, which was 15th September, 2025, 23 out of the 71 universities chosen by the candidates are yet to submit the Post-UTME screening scores of these candidates as agreed. By this press release and emails sent to these defaulting universities, they are urged to submit their screening scores without further delay.
Furthermore, the Board wishes to remind all public universities to submit their recommended candidates on CAPS on or before Tuesday, 30th September 2025, while all private universities are to submit their recommendations on or before Friday, 31st October 2025.
This is to ensure that the deadlines of 30th October 2025, for public universities, and 31st November 2025, for private universities are achieved.
These dates are sacrosanct as decided at the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions under the chairmanship of Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, the Honourable Minister of Education.
