Hon Olufemi Thomas Afolabi has joined friends, family and associates to express sorrow over the death of Chief Bamidele Ronald Toyo, the Eeketa of Aseese Town, who passed away on December 14, 2025.
In a condolence message made available to the press, Afolabi described the late traditional ruler as a respected community leader whose life was marked by service, wisdom, and commitment to the progress of Aseese and its surrounding communities.
He said, “I received the news of the passing of Chief Bamidele Ronald Toyo with deep sadness. His death is a painful loss not only to the people of Aseese Town but to the entire Obafemi Owode area.”
Afolabi noted that the late Eeketa played a stabilising role within the community, offering guidance and leadership during critical moments. He added that the monarch’s counsel and dedication to peace would be remembered for years to come.
“Chief Toyo was a father to many and a pillar of unity. His contributions to community development and traditional leadership cannot be forgotten. He served with dignity and left behind a legacy of respect,” he said.
The former local government chairmanship candidate extended his condolences to the royal family, the people of Aseese Town, and the traditional council, praying for strength and comfort during the period of mourning.
“May the Almighty grant his family and the entire community the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. He will be deeply missed,” Afolabi added.
