The Labour Party (LP) in Ogun state on Monday inaugurated new state executives of the party.
The new executives will pilot the affairs of the party for the next three years.
The National Vice Chairman, South West, Abayomi Arabambi who conducted the inauguration, stated that the party is positioning itself ahead of the general elections in 2027.
Arabambi, however called on the new executives to maintain the unity and peace within the party, while ensuring that it fielded candidates into all 40 elective positions in 2027.
The new State Chairperson of the party, Oluwabukola Soyoye pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the party remains a beacon of hope, unity and progress for the people.
She noted that building a nation requires collective contributions, adding that citizens must be actively involved in building the Nigeria of their dream.
“We have come a long way, and I thank each and every one of you for placing your trust in me. I promise to be a leader who listens, who empowers, and who serves with integrity and dedication.
“Together, let us build a Nigeria where every citizen has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Let us work towards a society where our people can live with dignity, and where our nation can prosper and grow”, she said
Other executives members inaugurated includes, Prince Ayodele Olaseni as the Deputy State Chairman, just as Prince Ade Adesanya will serve as the State Secretary of the party.
Others are, Fesomade Gbadebo as Treasurer, Olusola Olufemi as State Publicity Secretary and Akinlabi Joseph as the State Youth Leader, among others.
