As the Nov 16th election draws closer in Ondo State, the Zenith Labour Party in its avowed determination to ensure active participation of youths in governance, has picked Sunday Gabriel Afolabi as running mate to its flagbearer, Dr Olubansile Abbas Mimiko.
Afolabi, who is a 41 years old devoted Christian, is a seasoned grassroot politician from lkare Akoko in Akoko North East LGA.
“His choice was based on his character, untainted integrity and commitment to the ideals and vision of ZLP,” a statement by thr party said.
“Afolabi believes that youths cannot sit back and hope to be consumers of good governance, they must act as co-creators of it.
“The duo of Dr Olubansile Abbas Mimiko and Mr Sunday Gabriel Afolabi are poised to provide unparalleled leadership that will galvanize the potentials of the citizens of Ondo State and catapult the state to zenith of development in all spheres.”
