Popular businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, ak Cubana Chief Priest, has sensationally revealed that he relocated his business from the Southeast to Lagos due to security concerns.
Okechukwu, in a recent interview with BBC Igbo, expressed regret that ‘widespread hunger and envy’ among South Easterners had led to community members providing information to criminals, who then target the perceived wealthy and end up driving them away.
The businessman, known for his nighclubs and ostentatious lifestyle, said he was personally forced to relocate to Lagos because fear of kidnapping and killing had driven away his potential customers who used to visit their homes in the East home regularly.
“There is widespread hunger in the South-East. It is our own community members who provide criminals with information,” he said.
“Our people began targeting the wealthy, so the wealthy stopped returning home during festivities. That’s why I moved to Lagos to conduct my business.”
