About 600 registered participants converged at an Entrepreneurship symposium organized by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Study at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
Another 400 unregistered others were also counted during the event aimed at preparing students for what lies ahead of them after graduating, given the backdrop of entrepreneurship teaching that they are exposed to.
Director of the Centre, Professor Olusola Akande said the lecturers who also participated, had the opportunity of gaining some insight into the importance of teaching entrepreneurship by theory and Practice.
According to her, it also should afford them the opportunity to become an entrepreneur after retirement. She explained that the symposium exposed students to the rudiments of entrepreneurship learning so as to facilitate their understanding of the dynamics of it when they start taking the course as a general university course.
She said it will also prepare them for what lies ahead after graduation taking from the Experiences shared by the alumni”.
According to her, some secondary teachers were prepared for Certificate courses at the Centre will later be announced by the University to better equip them in their journey of teaching entrepreneurship at the secondary school level.
