The first Ogun State Tourism Market Development conference and official launch of Ogun tour guide will hold on June 29, 2024.
The event, put together by Rockcity Economy Investment Company Limited, is to showcase the tourism endowment of the gateway state to the world.
According to the Project Coordinator, Aremu Ibigbami, the theme of the conference is “positioning Ogun in the global tourism market: The role of the stakeholders” will be held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
Ibigbami said a former ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, will deliver the keynote address, while the wife of Ogun state Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun is the mother of the day.
According to him, Oba (Prof.) Saka Matemilola is the Royal father of the day while Prof. Adegoke Bakare, the Head of Hospitality and Tourism at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB is the lead speaker.
He said tourists are also billed to be part of the conference.
