President Bola Tinubu today sacked five of his ministers. The President also re-assigned 10 ministers to new ministerial portfolios and appointed seven more to join his cabinet.
The sacked ministers, according to the presidency, include sacked the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman as well as the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Uju Kennedy Ohaneye. Others are Minister of Youth, Jamila Bio Ibrahim; Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John and Minister of State, Housing an Urban Development, Abdullahi Muhammed Gwarzo.
The presidency, in a statement also announced, “the appointment of Shehu Dikko as Chairman of the National Sports Commission.
“The appointment of Sunday Akin Dare as Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation working from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.”
Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu was appointed as minister of state foreign affairs while Jumoke Oduwole was named the minister of industry, trade and investment.
