The Institute of Leadership Coaching and Strategy (ILCS), has today announced the appointment of Mr. Sunday Adenipekun, FILCS, as the new Registrar/Chief Executive of the Institute.
A statement issued by the ICLS spokesperson, Jide Ologun said the appointment was formally approved by the Council following a rigorous and thorough hiring process.
Mr. Adenipekun, who officially assumes duty today, Monday, October 5, 2026, is the immediate past Director of the Academy at Chartered Institute of Director Nigeria, (CIoD) where he acted as DG/CEO severally.
His proven track record in institutional growth and governance in Membership Based Organisations (MBO), strategically positions him to lead the fast emerging Institute into its next phase of development and impact.
“Members of the Institute are encouraged to warmly welcome Mr. Adenipekun as he begins his tenure on a promising note,” the statement said.
“He is a thoroughbred governance and business membership Organization (BMO) expert with 38 years post qualifications experience. 24 years in not for profit membership Organization and 11 years in a Federal Government Development Financial Institution. He has 16 years cognate experience at the senior Management level across three leading BMOs, CIoD Nigeria, Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) and Mission Support Agency International ( MISAI).
“Mr. Sunday Adenipekun has proven ability to drive the Institutional growth of our great Institute at this stage of its evolution.”
Meanwhile, the Governing Council extends heartfelt appreciation to the pioneer Registrar/Chief Executive, Mrs. Ifeoma Adeniyi, FILCS, whose dedicated service has been commended for her contributions to the Institute from inception.
Mrs. Adeniyi has now been appointed as the 2nd Vice President, a position approved by the Governing Council at its meeting held on September 30, 2026.
As part of the Instituteās expansion programme, three new Chairmen of Standing Committees have also joined the Governing Council, they are:
Dr. Morounfoluwa Oluwatosin Oyebola, FILCS ā Membership Experience Committee
Mrs. Abdulwarees-Solanke Monsurat Modupe, FILCS ā Finance and General Purpose Committee
Dr. Kolawole Akintunji Oyeyemi, FILCS ā Collaboration and Strategy Committee.
In his congratulatory letter to all the new appointees, the President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Olasunkade Azeez, FILCS urged them to contribute their talents, treasure, and time to serve the Institute diligently as required. He emphasized the collective responsibility to accelerate growth and advancement, positioning the Institute as a formidable force among professional bodies in Nigeria and beyond.
The Leadership Institute also wished the new Registrar, Mr. Sunday Adenipekun, FILCS, and others a highly successful tenure in their respective positions.
