It’s advantage Arsenal in the Premier League title race after Manchester City slipped up, dropping points in a dramatic 3-3 draw at Everton.
It leaves Arsenal five points ahead, and Man City only have one match in hand so their fate is out of their own hands. If the Gunners win their three remaining fixtures, they will be crowned champions, regardless of their rivals’ results.
So, when is the earliest that Arsenal could move out of reach and end their 22-year wait for the title?
That would be on Wednesday 13 May when Man City host Crystal Palace.
For that to be possible, Man City would have to firstly lose at home to Brentford on Saturday, and Arsenal would need to win at West Ham United the following day.
Such a combination of results would leave Man City eight points behind Arsenal going into the Palace match, with nine points left to play for.
If Man City were to draw or lose the Palace match, they would then be seven or eight points behind with only six points available.
