The death has been announced of Alhaja Tawakalitu Abosede Siyanbade, beloved wife of the Secretary-General of the Muslim Community of Oyo State, Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade.
News of her death was contained in a statement issued by the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN).
Alhaja Siyanbade was born on August 9, 1960, and returned to her Creator on April 16, 2026.
The Janazah prayer will be led by the Executive Secretary of MUSWEN, Prof. Wole Abas, and is scheduled as follows:
Time: 4:00 PM
Venue: Bodija and Its Environs Muslim Community Central Mosque, opposite Oyo State Housing Corporation, Bodija Estate, Ibadan.

Janaazah (Funeral Prayer), to be led by EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF MUSLIM UMMAH OF SOUTH WEST NIGERIA (MUSWEN), PROF. LATEEF ‘WOLE ABBAS, will, in shaa Llaah, hold as follows:
– *Time:* 4:00 PM
– *Venue:* Bodija Estates and Environs Muslim Community Islamic Center
● Burial:
Immediately after the Janaazah at Ultimate Rest Home, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Boluwaji, Ibadan.
As the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
«إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ تَدْمَعُ، وَالْقَلْبَ يَحْزَنُ، وَلَا نَقُولُ إِلَّا مَا يُرْضِي رَبَّنَا»
*“Indeed the eyes shed tears and the heart grieves, but we do not say except what pleases our Lord.*
