After a career spanning over three decades, Dr Kayode Egbetokun has resigned from the Nigeria Police Force, having been replaced as Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police by President Bola Tinubu.
He is succeeded as the 23rd Inspector General of Police by Assistant Inspector-General in charge of the Force CID, Mr Tunji Disu.
It is expected that an official announcement on the change would be made shortly.
Efforts to obtain a reaction from the Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
