The Nigerian Army troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have dismantled a suicide bombing network and intercepted terrorists’ logistics in Adamawa State.
Eight suspects, including two key facilitators of the Gamboru Market Mosque suicide bombing, were apprehended in a coordinated cordon-and-search operation in Mubi South Local Government Area.
In a statement by Lt Col Sani Uba the spoksperson of the OPHK, the troops recovered cash, phones, identification documents, and other incriminating items, which are undergoing forensic analysis .
In a related operation, OPHK troops intercepted 45 jerrycans of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) suspected to be smuggled for terrorist use in Mayo Nguli, Maiha Local Government Area.
The suppliers fled, abandoning the petroleum products, now in military custody.
These operations demonstrate OPHK’s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and disrupting their logistics and supply chains.
Meanwhile, troops of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued three victims in Taraba State.
The operation, carried out on January 5, 2026, was based on credible intelligence reports of suspected kidnappers’ activities in Sangai Village, Bachama Ward of Karim Lamido Local Government Area.
The rescued victims, Nimron Umar (25), Abafaras Ibrahim (20), and Habila Yunusa (23), are receiving care and documentation and will be reunited with their families soon.
