Zazoo crooner, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has publicly explained the reason for the viral brawl that occurred at the Odumodublvck organised concert in Abuja.
Providing his side of the story regarding what sparked the chaos, Portable said he reacted to provocation relating to his religion.
Following media reports of him engaging in fisticuffs with some individuals, the singer explained that the trouble started as he entered the venue. He said a provocateur moved close and whispered a blasphemous comment in his ear, specifically disrespecting Prophet Muhammad.
He noted that this remark immediately escalated the situation, causing a group of people to surround him and join in the fight
Portable claimed he refused to be intimidated and fought back against the group. He described a physical exchange of blows but maintained that he held his own against the numbers.
The artist however added that the hostility evaporated once he took the stage. He claimed that the very individuals involved in the altercation ended up cheering for him during his set.
He said on his social media handle:
“For Odumodublvck concert yesterday, as we dey enter tell me for my ear say ‘Anobi Mohammed ti ku’ [Prophet Mohammed is d£@d.] Na him like 15 people gather only me. Na God say make I stand o.
