The Rotary Club of Anthony Golden, District 9112, Nigeria installed Rotarian Olufikayo OGUNDAIRO, a renowned Brand Management Expert, on Sunday, August 24, amidst pumps and plageantries.
Held at the Banquet Hall of the prestigious FishFarm Hotel, the event was a convergence of eggheads in Advertising, Communications, and Rotary District 9112, Nigeria .
Dignitaries included the Governor of Rotary District 9112, Rotarian (Barr) Lanre Adedoyin, Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Datanwaye Miller, who doubles as the Charter (Pioneer) President of the club, Mr. Bola Oyebade, a Past District Governor of the now defunct Rotary District 9110 and Guest Speaker of the occasion, Rotarian Femi Adenekan, a former and pioneer Governor of Rotary District 9112, and Mazi Kelechi Nwosu, the Chief Executive Officer for TBWA Concept, who doubles as the Chairman of the Occasion.
Also in attendance were His Royal Highness, Oba Sulaimon Oloko, the Oniwaya of Iwaya Kingdom, as the Royal Father of the day, Olori Bernitha Agboge, as the Mother of the Day, and dignitaries from all spares of the public and private sector.
The installation event also featured induction of New members. The members are:
Mazi Kelechi Nwosu,Umoru Patience Avwerosoughene, Adeniyi Nnema Esther, Banjoko Olamekan Emmanuel, Adedeyi Opeyemi Adeleye, Oluwatosin Illori, and Umoru Olusola Olawumi.
ResQ Promotion was also inducted as a corporate member.
Ogundairo, also referred to as Don Fikky, is an accomplished marketing, advertising, and digital solutions professional with over 21 years of experience.
Currently the Chief Executive Officer of UnoVortex Ltd, Don Fikky is an alumnus of the prestiious Business School of Netherlands, and is reputed for leading reputable multinationals and agencies such as Prima Garnet Ogilvy, Olley’s Limited, TBWA/Concept, Insight Grey, Stallion Motors, Promodoor, Insight Publicis, and 3XM Ideas.
He has managed top brands including Nestle, British American Tobacco, Indomie, Stanbic IBTC, Globacom, and Nigeria Breweries (Star, Gulder, Heineken, Tiger), and was reputed for signing the Hip-hop Superstars, Bournay Boy and Tiwa Savage, as brand ambassadors for his company.
Don Fikky is a member of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Ikoyi Club, and has attended local and international trainings in marketing and leadership, including in Berlin, Germany, and Johannesburg, South Africa.
While his recitation was being read, his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Temitope Ogundairo and two children, were seen beaming with smile and bride.
Conducting his installation, the Rotary District Governor, who was flanked by other Rotary Bigwigs at the occasion, admonished the Brand Expert to bring his expertise to bear in projecting the good work of Rotary, foster strategic collaborations between the organisation and big corporations, and execute community-driven projects and programmes that are aimed at ameliorating the sufferings of the people.
“Rotary is purely a call to service. I urge.you to manifest this obligation in visible and impactful projects and programmes that would help humanity in your immediate and extended community,” Adedoyin, said.
The Guest Speaker, Oyebade, who officially invited the guests and esteemed Nigerians into Rotary, said prominent among Rotary global interventions were the Polio Virus Campaign, and annual Free Eye Surgeries for millions of partially blind across the world.
” Most of you here as friends of Rotary are not yet Rotarians because you have not been properly invited to the organisation. Therefore, I am officially inviting you to join us in this noble humanitarian cause. Your membership of this international humanitarian organisation as an invitation to endless opportunity of service to humanity.”

In his acceptance speech, the newly inducted President, promise to do his best to elevate the enviable status of the club, as handed to him by his predecessor, Rotarian (Chief) Chidi Ogu.
“To walk the talk, we have articulated strategic projects that would touch the different aspect of our communities, from Economic and Vocational Empowerment, to Public Healthcare, Maternal and Child Mortality, Tree Planting, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, and Basic Education and Literacy, among others.
“We are expending a total sum.lf N20 Million and more on these projects,” he added.
