Engr. Dideolu Falobi, the Managing Director of Kresta Laurel Limited, a company specializing in vertical and horizontal transportation systems, has declared his intention to contest the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
Falobi, a community developer, quality systems auditor, and political commentator, made his ambition known in a letter he sent to friends and associates, a copy of which was seen by CITYVOICE.NG.
It is unclear yet on which party’s platform the systems engineers intends to contest.
In the letter, the graduate of the University of Lagos, said his campaign, based on a 12-Point Agenda revolves around the theme of: “Re-engineering Osun State for Peace and Development in Unity. “
The letter reads in full:
NOTIFICATION OF MY INTENTION TO CONTEST THE 2026 OSUN STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION
I trust this letter meets you well, in good health and high spirits.
After deep reflection, extensive consultations, and prayerful consideration, I have decided to offer myself to serve as the Governor of Osun State in the forthcoming 2026 Gubernatorial Election. This decision is borne out of my firm conviction that Osun can, and must, be re-engineered for peace, unity, and sustainable development.
For the record, I did not envisage taking a direct step into politics or political governance until recently. My belief then was that other platforms outside politics would be sufficient to drive the needed change. However, I have come to the realisation that these efforts, though impactful, are not enough. We must continue to expand the critical mass of well-meaning individuals actively involved in politics — whether through direct participation or strategic support. This realisation has informed my decision.
Over the years, my professional journey as an engineer, entrepreneur, and community leader has given me a deep understanding of our people’s needs, our state’s potential, and the urgent reforms required to move Osun forward. Through my work in the private sector, my leadership in various community development initiatives, and my engagement with professionals both at home and in the diaspora, I have seen firsthand that, with visionary leadership, our state can rise to new heights.
My campaign will be anchored on the theme:
“Re-engineering Osun State for Peace and Development in Unity”
It will be implemented through a comprehensive 12-Point Agenda focused on good governance, economic diversification, youth and women empowerment, infrastructural renewal, agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, diaspora engagement, and accountable leadership.
I am writing to personally seek your endorsement and support in this journey. Your counsel, network, and goodwill will be invaluable as we mobilise the people of Osun State for a new chapter of inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
There are many ways you can be part of this movement:
• Publicly endorsing my candidacy.
• Helping to connect me with key stakeholders and opinion leaders.
• Supporting with resources, expertise, or logistics.
• Volunteering to be part of our campaign structure.
Together, we can chart a bold new course for Osun State — one that restores hope, unites our people, and delivers tangible results for every citizen.
I look forward to your reaction and/or comment here as well as an online engagement(Via Zoom) soon where I plan to share more details and explore how we can work together to make this mission a success.
Meanwhile, if you are willing to be directly involved in the realization of this vision you can join the newly set-up campaign platform using the link below.
Thank you for your friendship, trust, and belief in my vision.
Yours sincerely,
Bobajiro (Engr.) Dideolu Falobi, FNSE, FCIoD.
Gubernatorial Aspirant, Osun State 2026
