Vice President Kashim Shettima has led a federal delegation to the UK to bring home the remains of Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari died Sunday while in the UK for treatment.
Shettima, in a short message today said: “Early this morning, I arrived in London in the company of the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on the directive of my boss, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I was received on arrival by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, and the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum.
“I will accompany the remains of the former President to Nigeria for burial in Daura, Katsina State.
“The former leader died in London after a prolonged illness.”
