In a positive signal that efforts made by President Bola Tinubu to reconcile the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is working, the two men were spotted together on Saturday at the funeral of Wike’s uncle in Rumuepirikom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
Also in attendance was the suspended Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, along with other prominent dignitaries.
Their joint appearance follows recent efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing political turmoil in the state.

Speaking after the reconciliation meeting between Fubara and himself in Abuja, Wike announced that both camps had finally reached an agreement to end hostilities and work together.
“We have all agreed to work together with the governor, and the governor also agreed to work together with all of us. We are members of the same political family,”
