The Centre for Islamic Propagation in Africa (CIPA) has called for restraint in various responses to the glitch which marred the recent JAMB examination.
CIPA, in a statement by its president,
Ustaadh Uthman Abdul Quadr, said the politicisation of the issue is unnecessary and unhelpful to the cause of improved education sector.
The group also commended the JAMB Registrar, Prof Isiaq Oloyede for his mature handling of the matter.
The statement reads:
It is no more news that the just concluded 2025 University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) witnessed unexpected computer technical error in some centers across the country despite the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)’s solid preparation.
Centre for Islamic Propagation in Africa – CIPA an organization for Dawah and Education with her headquarters at Oke Aregba, Labaiwa, Abeokuta eulogizes and give support to Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for his obvious unprecedented track records and leadership virtues which has transformed many systems under his watch including JAMB.
This unforeseen technical hitch that occurred should not call for condemnation or politicized for any reason.
Indeed, the Country should not only commend Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, an hero of repute and goal getter, for his bravery in taking responsibility on behalf of his team over the technical glitches witnessed during the 2025 UTME but see it as hall mark and road map for Nation leaders to emulate.
More importantly, this ugly situation is a pointer and as well led credence to the fact that there is still need for education industry to be well funded and prioritized in governance.
Also, rescheduling of the affected candidates from 157 Centres is a welcoming and proactive measures that again deserves commendation. For our country to continue to be a role model and giant of Africa, we need to join hands with JAMB in ensuring successful entrance examination into Tertiary institutions.
We wish to encourage the JAMB registrar never to be perturbed, relented but to continue his unwavering commitment through innovations to upholding the integrity of JAMB.
On behalf of entire members, I pray for Allah’s provisions, guidance and acceptance of our deeds for A-janat firdauz admission.
