Nigerian singer and songwriter, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been arraigned at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He wwas subsequently granted bail in the sum of N2m, with one surety in like sum.
The arraignment in the morning of Thursday February 20, followed his surrender to the police at the Criminal Investigation Department in Panti Yaba, on Wednesday.
He was declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command on Monday.
The charges stemmed from an incident on February 5, 2025, when Portable allegedly led an attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement exercise at his bar in Ijoko- Ota area.
While nine of Portable’s associates were arrested, the singer evaded capture until his recent surrender.
Portable, born on March 12, 1994, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, gained prominence with his 2021 hit single “ZaZoo Zehh,” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.
His career has been marked by multiple controversies, including public disputes with fellow artists and allegations of violent behaviour.
