The Pan Nigeria sociopolitical group Afenifere issued a statement, signed by the Deputy Leader Oba Oladipo Olaitan and National Publicity Secretary Prince Justice Faloye, commiserating with families that lost family members in various stampedes during Xmas giveaways across the nation.
Afenifere, the statement said, wishes the family succour as they grieve and lay their dead to rest. We also hope for more preventive and organizational guidelines to prevent future reoccurrences.
“Afenifere wishes everyone a happy New Year and hopes for better welfare and security for Nigerians as a whole. In 2025, we wish to see a turnaround move towards an egalitarian society that values lives and rights of everyone.
“We hope the Tinubu administration can make Life More Abundant for all by prioritizing and accelerating Nigeria’s political and economic development, with better people conscious economic reforms and fair and just political restructuring.”
