The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari is the Royal Father of the Day as the Ilorin National Muslim Peace Conference kicks off on Tuesday in Ilorin.
The Spiritual Guest is the Chief Mufti of Ilorin, Fadeelat Sheikh Sulaiman Faruk Onikijipa, while the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Fadeelat Sheikh Dr Muh’d Basir Imam Soliu is Spiritual Father of the Day.
The organizer of the National Muslims Peace Conference, Dr Alabi Salihu Hammed of the Department of Politics and Governance, Kwara State University Malete promised participants an enriching experience at the event, which he said is geared at harmonious nation building.
The roll call of speakers is a Who is Who of eminent religious and professional personalities.
These include National Imam and Chief Missioner of Ansar ud Deen Society, Sheikh Abdurrahman Olanrewaju Ahmad; an erudite scholar and jurist in Islamic law, Justice Kamaldeen Abdullateef; Dr Sulaiman Faruk Onikijipa; banker and investment advisor, Malam Nasir Abdulquadri.
Other guest speakers are distinguished Islamic Scholar and Chief Imam of the National Mosque, Professor Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari; distinguished professor of Law and expert in Islamic finance, Professor AbdulRasaq A. Alaro; the Mallami Ubandoma of Ilorin, Sheikh Abdulkadir El Salman Al Jumuah; and Founder of El Habibiyyah Academy, Imam Fuad Ademola Adeyemi.
The event starts at 10 am at the De Peace Hotel and Suites Banquet Hall, Tanke-Ilorin.
