Former President of Nigeria, Oluṣẹgun Okikiola Ọbasanjọ has extended his enthusiastic endorsement and support for the upcoming 2nd edition and beyond of Cultural Oneness Festival powered by The Taste Of Afrika.
The endorsement ceremony took place in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State in southwest Nigeria, on Saturday 22nd June 2024. Abeokuta is the abode of Chief Olusegun Okikiola Ogunboye Aremu Obasanjo.
According to the organisers, the endorsement and promised support from the camp of Chief Oluṣẹgun Okikiola Ọbasanjọ marks a significant moment as the good people of Ghana, Africa and Diasporans prepare to celebrate our unity in diversity via Cultural Oneness Festival.
The Taste Of Afrika delegation was led by His Royal Highness, Nandom Naa Professor Delle, President of Nandom Traditional Council. Tengol K. Kplemani, the CEO of The Taste Of Afrika, had a lot of collaborative discussions with Chief Oluṣẹgun Ọbasanjọ regarding the Cultural Oneness Festival initiative.
After a fair hearing, Chief Ọbasanjọ fully recognised the potential of the Cultural Oneness Festival and deemed it as part of his struggle throughout his political, social and economic journey in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
Chief Obasanjo expressed optimism, looking into the future, about the enormous benefits the people of Ghana, Africa and the rest of the world would stand to gain from the Cultural Oneness Festival project when it’s given the needed push, support and recognition.
“I am very happy to see my brethren from Ghana embark on this massive project to promote culture, arts and tourism in Northern Ghana and beyond via Cultural Oneness Festival. Today, I can assure you, that I am into this project fully and I Olusegun Obasanjo endorse it. Ghanaians should expect to see me at the event in Northern Ghana”, Chief Olusegun Ogunboye Obasanjo stated.
Chief Obasanjo’s endorsement underscores the Cultural Oneness Festival’s pivotal role in fostering cultural understanding and strengthening social cohesion.
The Cultural Oneness Festival organizers also expressed gratitude for Chief Obasanjo’s endorsement and support, emphasizing its significance in enhancing the festival’s visibility and impact.
