Nigerian journalist and culture archivist, Jahman Oladejo Anikulapo has been named winner of the 2024 LSA Distinguished Personality Award of the Lagos Studies Association.
Anikulapo, a former editor at The Guardian and Programmes Chair at the Committee for Relevant Arts (CORA) is honoured for his contributions to Lagos and Nigeria’s studies, a statement by the association states.
The award letter reads in full:
Dear Mr. Jahman Oladejo Anikulapo:
On behalf of the Lagos Studies Association, it is my pleasure to inform you that you are the winner of the 2024 LSA Distinguished Personality Award. The Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Lagos and Nigerian Studies.
Previous recipients of the Award include the late Adekunle Alli, Nike Okundaye, Olasupo Shasore, Aduke Gomez, and Femi Odugbemi.
The Awards ceremony will take place on Friday, June 28 at 6 pm. Venue: The Multipurpose Hall A, University of Lagos at 6 pm.
