A five – star hotel, Feliza Hotel and Suites, has been commissioned at Obada, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The ₦3 billion luxury hotel, with a world-class event also boost of international standard spar, gym and lounge.
The new hospitality edifice, according to experts, will no doubt increase the hospitality business in Ogun State.
A popular publicist and former ex spokesperson to Atiku Abubakar, Otunba Segun Showunmi, commended the project, noting that it has put Obada on the global map.
Showunmi, the Convener of the Alternative Movement and a Chieftain of the PDP in Ogun State, applauded the visionary of the project for his commitment to improving the local economy in Nigeria and for contributing to the growth of Egbaland.
He however appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun to improve road infrastructure in the area and support indigenous investments like Feliza Hotel.
“Please, it’s not a very long road, do it for us,” he said.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health, Dr. Ololade Kehinde described the project as massive and laudable, showcasing Ogun State as business-friendly and secure.
He said the project will encourage investment by Nigerians in the diaspora. “This is a kind of project that encourages Japada and I am very happy with this step,” Ololade stated
The CEO of Feliza Hotel, Mr. Oluwafemi Ayeyemi, said he invested over ₦3 billion on the project and he’s hoping for the best.
Ayeyemi called the attention of the state government to the poor road infrastructure in Obada area, noting that such could be a challenge for other investors.
The hotelier urged the government to prioritise road construction for economic growth, saying with the current road network, it will be difficult for Nigerians in diaspora to invest in the country.
He said the Feliza Hotel and Suites would no doubt improve the hospitality sector of the state and the country at large.
