Political tea leaves readers have one more preoccupation Saturday as President Bola Tinubu sensatiobally ignored the outstretched hands of the Lagos State Governor at a public function.
The incident happened during the inauguration of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway phase 1 on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Lekki.
A video shared by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Segun Dada, captured the moment Tinubu visibly shunned Sanwo-Olu’s greeting.
Tinubu, on his arrival at the venue, greeted and shook hands with the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors who stood to greet him. But the president skipped Sanwo-Olu and glanced away when the Lagos governor genuflected and reached out to him.
Tinubu later commissioned the completed sections, Phase 1, Section 1 (30 km of 750 km) of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project.
