Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed gratitude to members of his cabinet for their contributions to the state’s development in the last two years.
Fubara made the commendation during a valedictory session for his cabinet and in an event to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary at Government House in Port Harcourt.
The governor emphasised the significance of Nigeria’s Independence Day, urging all Nigerians to work together with President Bola Tinubu to build a peaceful, secure, and prosperous country.
He reiterated his commitment to serving the state with renewed vigour and thanked citizens for their support.
Fubara also used the medium to relieve all his commissioners and public officers of their appointments, adding that the action complied with the recent Supreme Court judgment on their appointments.
He said that the dissolution was with immediate effect and urged them to hand over government property to the most senior officials in the various ministries and agencies.
